It’s not the apocalypse, but it’s close. Founded more than 50 years ago, The Zombies are making their New Orleans debut! Yes, the iconic garage-psychedelic pop band that brought you “She’s Not There,” “The Time of the Season,” and so many more groundbreaking and era-defining classics is invading the Crescent City.

The Zombies will be led by original members Rod Argent on keys and Colin Blunstone on vocals. Opening for The Zombies will be critically acclaimed Queens-bred rockers Hollis Brown.

If you’ve been to prior Stomp festivals, you’ve seen the best of the best in garage rock, from ? and the Mysterians and Roky Erickson to the Seeds and the Sonics to homegrown favorites such as Dr. Spec’s Optical Illusion, the Bad Roads, and the Gaunga Dyns. This Zombies appearance is another jewel in that crown.

Nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 2014 class, The Zombies have influenced everyone from the Beatles and the Beach Boys to the Kinks and the Doors. Their swan-song LP, 1967’s “Odessey and Oracle,” sits at #100 on Rolling Stone magazine’s top 500 rock albums of all time and has been hailed as a masterpiece of psychedelic rock.
