Dolores LaLa Brooks
Dolores "LaLa" Brooks began singing in the church and went from gospel choir directly into the Crystals, scoring hits with "Then He Kissed Me", "He's a Rebel" and "Da Doo Ron Ron", all produced by Phil Spector between 1961-1964. After leaving The Crystals she continued writing and recording with her jazz musician husband, acted in Hair and toured/recorded with artists like Neville Brothers, Isaac Hayes and Bobby Womack.
