Coming from a large musical family that included his legendary brother Tommy, Sammy Ridgley was immersed in the New Orleans sound from birth, with his first gigs at his grandfather's gospel church. Working and recording in the Crescent City for decades (including sides produced by the great Wardell Quezergue) in style reminiscent of Wilson Pickett. Ridgley is another crucial link to the local New Orleans music scene and a wonderful performer.
